Discover Premium Hospitality at Stoke City
Match Day Experiences September 12, 2025 2 min read.Stoke City was formed in 1863 under the name Stoke Ramblers, making the club the second oldest in England after Notts County. In 1878, the club merged with Stoke Victoria Cricket Club and became the Stoke Football Club we know today. It was around this time that the team adopted their traditional red-and-white striped kit.

Fast forward to today: The Britannia Stadium, built in 1997, has been the stage for some of the finest moments in Stoke City’s modern history. The club sealed their return to the top flight on the final day of the 2007–08 season, and just a few years later, the Potters secured Europa League football in 2011–12. Their European adventure took them as far as the Round of 32, where they faced Spanish giants Valencia and bowed out after a 2–0 defeat.
The History of Stoke City runs deep within English Football, making it a must-visit for all footballing fans. Circuit Hospitality is proud to have partnered with Stoke City as an official ticket reseller, offering fans exclusive access to premium matchday experiences.
Stoke City – Tony Waddington Suite
The Tony Waddington Suite is named in honour of Tony Waddington, who oversaw one of Stoke City’s most successful eras between 1960 and 1977. He was instrumental in shaping the club’s golden years, from bringing back the legendary Stanley Matthews to guiding the Potters through memorable campaigns. A beloved figure among the Stoke faithful, Waddington led the team to multiple FA Cup semi-finals, two UEFA Cup appearances, and their first major trophy the 1972 Football League Cup.
