For over half a century, the Australian rock band AC/DC have been bringing their unique brand of rock music to audiences across the world, and on Wednesday July 3rd and Sunday July 7th 2024, they’ll be sending shockwaves through the foundations of Wembley Stadium in London.

Formed in Sydney by Glaswegian brothers Malcolm and Angus Young, who had emigrated to Australia as children, it was the addition of singer, and fellow Scottish-born Aussie, Bon Scott that elevated AC/DC above other rock bands of the mid 1970s. The line up remained relatively stable until Scott’s untimely death in 1980, at the start of recording sessions for what would become the legendary album “Back In Black”. Scott was replaced by Brian Campbell, who remains on vocal duties to this day, and since its release, “Back To Black” alone has sold more than 25 million
copies in the USA alone, which makes it the America’s 4th highest selling album of all time.

The band has gone through a few changes over the decades, some enforced by events including the illness and death of founder Malcolm Young in 2017, but the core of the group remains the same. Malcolm’s replacement on guitar in 2014 was his nephew Stevie Young, keeping the AC/DC story firmly in the family!
