What is the British Grand Prix?

The British Grand Prix is one of the most iconic races in Formula 1, held at the legendary Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire.

Known for its high-speed corners and passionate crowd, it delivers thrilling racing year after year. The event spans a full weekend, with live music, fan experiences, and high octane energy.

It’s particularly special for British fans, who turn out in force to support drivers like Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris. The 2025 edition runs from July 4th to 6th.

Where will it be held?

Silverstone is one of the most iconic and historic circuits in motorsport, having hosted the very first Formula One World Championship Grand Prix on May 13, 1950. Since then, it has become synonymous with British motorsport heritage, evolving from a former RAF airfield into a world-class racing venue that continues to play a pivotal role in the F1 calendar

What else is on offer?

This year will feature the 75th anniversary of the FIA Formula 1 World Champions, the Sunday race card will feature an historic showdown of 500cc Formula 3 cards, the largest ever staged at Silverstone.

The event will also feature the Silverstone Festival alongside the Raceday, seeing heavyweights like Sam Fender, Raye, Fat Boy, Slim, and Becky Hill for the ultimate festival weekend of racing and music.

With the 3-Day Pass, you’re free to move around the venue and watch the track action from any of the many viewing banks or big screens. The pass includes access to all stages, entertainment zones, the F1 Fan Zone, and the Silverstone Museum.

What happened at the last British Grand Prix?

Lewis Hamilton thrilled the home crowd at Silverstone, winning the British Grand Prix for a record-breaking ninth time, and in what was his final home race for Mercedes.

In a dramatic, weather-shifting showdown, Hamilton edged out Max Verstappen to claim his first victory since December 2021, with a record 164,000 fans in attendance.

This year, the British Grand Prix promises another electrifying clash, this time between Hamilton in red, driving for Ferrari, and Verstappen in his ever-dominant Red Bull car.

As the 2025 season unfolds, Max Verstappen enters as the reigning world champion for the fourth consecutive year. But can he clinch a historic fifth straight title? Only Michael Schumacher has done that previously.

With Silverstone marking the heart of the campaign, it could well be the weekend where the title contenders begin to break away from the chasing pack.
