Denver Broncos v New York Jets
The New York Jets and Denver Broncos have clashed 42 times in NFL history, with the Broncos holding a narrow edge at 23 wins to the Jets’ 18.
The New York Jets have recruited Mason Taylor, one of the drafts youngest prospects at 21 years old. Taylor could be an impact performer in the Jets side. The 6″5′ big man who’s very agile could be a worthwhile replacement to current quarterback 41 year old Aaron Rodger in years to come.
The Denver Broncos enter this matchup as favourites, having finished 3rd in the AFC standings. The three-time Super Bowl champions are led by quarterback Bo Nix, has guided the Orange Crush to their first playoff appearance since 2015.
Alongside, Garrett Bolles has been stringing together strong performances since last season, and this year may be his best yet. The veteran left tackle has allowed just 14 pressures and one sack across 481 pass-blocking snaps, an elite level of protection that is not often found at his age.
Minnesota Vikings v Cleveland Browns
The two teams have faced off against one another 17 times in the league with the Vikings winning 11 of the matchups.
The Minnesota Vikings remain one of the biggest franchises in NFL history, having made four Super Bowl appearances. Despite chasing their first title, their pedigree ensure they’ll be a team to watch as they make their way to London.
Leading the line will be their star wide receiver, Justin Jefferson, widely regarded as one of the league’s elite talents. Despite missing some time last season, Jefferson still racked up an impressive 1,533 receiving yards, the second-most in the NFL. His viral 97-yard touchdown recently pushed him past 6,000 career receiving yards, making him the fastest player in NFL history to reach that milestone.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Browns are on a mission to redeem themselves after a disappointing 3–14 finish last season. But signs of a return are already in place. The Browns have recruited well, bolstering their quarterback position with two highly-rated draft picks, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders who join a deep squad that already includes veteran Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett. With this mix of youth and experience, the Browns look ready to turn the page.
